Chu river Weir ProjectProject location: Chu river, Thanh Hoa province Generating: Ban Thach hydropower station on main canal, installed capacity N=960 KW; Waterway navigation. Major technical parameters: Scale and structure of project works: Headworks consist of: - Spillway: constructed of concrete (length of the part crossing rock area: 40m). Initial shape of the spillway was trapezoidal, then it was added concrete “teeth” to create surface flow. - Intake: 7 arch gates, dimension: 2.9 x 2 m. - Sand sluice: 3 arch gates, dimension: 2 x 3.4 m. - Lock b = 4 m At present, the spillway is expended and raised to become the Ophiserov one with energy dissipator apron. Sand sluice is newly constructed with ventilating pipe. Old intake and lock are demolished and replaced with the new ones with treated foundation.
