Dimension of the intake: n(bxh) + lock = 4(3.5x4.5)m + lock. Design Q: 75 m3/s Bac Hung Hai project was studied by the French with name of Ke Sat 2 project with 2 ideas as follows: - Constructing large pumping station system to get water from Duong river - Constructing dike culvert to get water from Red river With Chinese help, on 30/4/1957, the Ministry of Water Resources submitted the project documents to Vietnamese Government for approval. The project contents are as follows: - Constructing Xuan Quan intake with lock. - Building An Tho tidal sluice for draining entire area. - Constructing 26 fix pumping stations and 26 mobile pumping stations for irrigating high areas and draining inundation when river water raises up (afterward, mobile pumping stations were not constructed). - Thoroughly making use up the existing river network in the area. Newly excavating necessary rivers and proposing to construct 1900 structures. To the year 2003, the project had been completed with following structures: - Construction of Xuan Quan intake (1958 - 1959) and canal system. - Construction of large regulators including: Bao Dap (1958), Neo (*), Ba Thuy (*) 1959, Kenh Cau (*), Luc Dien (*) 1962, Cau Xe (*) 1966, An Tho (*) 1977. - Construction of large irrigation and drainage pumping station including: Nhu Quynh (*), Van Giang (*), Van Lam (*) (1962- 1963), Trieu Duong (*) (1964) and other pumping stations such as Van Thai (*), Kenh Vang (*), Mai Xa, La Tien, Co Ngua, Hiep Le ...
